During the past two years I have listened to the people of District 4; while attending neighborhood meetings, talking to folks at the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Center, hearing concerns about a lack of services for us all, but especially the seniors and the youth of our neighborhoods. Complaints about the loss of rights and opportunities at the Webster Square Towers and listening to the proliferating problems of small business people who feel under siege or ignored, from Main Street to Highland Street to Vernon Hill.

As a resident of this district for over 25 years, I have listened, I have shared your concerns, I have acted on them and when I am elected to represent you I will act even more quickly and effectively. A neighbor on Benefit Street shows me a festering neighborhood garbage dump that has been ignored for months, years even. An older neighbor and friend of mine on Canterbury Street tells me how she feels things have changed drastically for the worse after we lost Councilor Janice Nadeau. The safety and financial concerns of the seniors I meet throughout the district are a cry for help.
